2010-2011 MHRT 3

-Using the front end of McGill’s racing team 2009-2010 chassis (MRT11) with a new rear end

-Same motors, controllers, generator unit as MHRT 2.5 (with optimized setup)

-Improved suspension and steering geometry

-New improved CRIO from National Instruments

-New electrical system packaging

-Focus on weight reduction













2009-2010 (MHRT 2.5)

-AC motors capable of 35 HP peak each, chain drive to rear wheels

-Anti-roll bars front and back

-Modified steering geometry

-Optimized generator package (to prevent overheating)

-Regenerative braking and stability control

-Lithium Ion battery pack

-CRIO (National Instruments) unit used for data acquisition as well as dynamic vehicle and engine control

-Lighter weight

-New lightweight body panels

-New uprights, halfshafts and brakes














2008-2009 (MHRT 2)

Features:

-New space frame

-Adjustable pedals to accommodate a large variety of drivers

-Independent rear wheel drive using 2 DC PMG motors

-Optimized CVT transmissions

-Lithium Ion battery pack

-CRIO (National Instruments) unit used for data acquisition as well as dynamic vehicle and engine control













2007-2008 (MHRT 1)

Features:

-Not actually a hybrid, but electric

-ISAAC used for data acquisition

-Modified FSAE steel space frame

-Independent rear wheel drive using 2 PMG DC motors

-CVT transmissions

-Lithium Ion battery pack
